According to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, a drone struck an under-construction skyscraper in the heart of Moscow.
According to the defense ministry, two drones were also shot down by air defenses in the Moscow region’s Mozhaisk and Khimki districts.

The US State Department responded to reports of the downed drones by claiming that Washington did not support drone assaults in Russia.
According to American authorities, Ukraine must determine how to protect itself, and Russia has the option to cease the conflict at any time by leaving its neighbor.
Russian bombardment near the eastern Ukrainian city of Lyman also claimed the lives of three elderly persons overnight, according to officials.
Drone assaults inside Russia have reportedly increased in recent months.
Two drones were shot down over the Moscow area on Tuesday, according to the Russian defense ministry, while two more were intercepted over the Bryansk area close to the Ukrainian border.
In the Krasnogorsk and Chastsy areas to the west of the capital, Mr. Sobyanin claimed that Russian air defenses had shot down two drones. There were no reported injuries.
The government further stated that on Tuesday in the Black Sea, a Russian warplane sank a Ukrainian surveillance boat that was passing by Russian gas production facilities.
But, President Volodymyr Zelensky has previously stated that strikes on Russian territory are a “inevitable, natural and absolutely fair process” Ukraine did not claim responsibility for any drone incursions on Tuesday.
