Activists, Students, Teachers Unite in Protest of Florida’s Black History Education

To protest Florida’s Black history teaching requirements, dozens of students, educators, and education activists marched to a Miami-Dade County school board meeting on Tuesday.

One of the instructions in the standards claims that slavery has some benefits, such as giving slaves the opportunity to learn new skills. Democrats and Black leaders from all throughout the country have condemned the criteria heavily, claiming that they distort history.

Vice President Harris claimed in a speech given last month that the standards are indoctrinating kids with misinformation. From a predominantly Black Miami area, about 50 people marched a mile to the school board meeting, where they assembled and spoke.

Representative Justin Pearson (D) of Tennessee, who was booted from the state House in April for taking part in a gun control demonstration, spoke at the event. This month, he won a special election for his seat after being reinstated.

The Black history education standards, which were passed last month, call for lessons on race to be presented objectively and without attempting to convert kids to a specific viewpoint or indoctrinate them.

The Republican candidate for president, Ron DeSantis of Florida, has incorporated the concept into his plan to combat wokeness. He has defended the law, claiming that Harris and others misunderstood it.

Democrats who want to indoctrinate students and force sexual subjects on young people must lie about Florida’s educational standards, as is the case with Kamala Harris. They are obstructed by Florida, and we will keep exposing their plans and lies.

After the state effectively outlawed an African American studies course for high school students in January, the guidelines were passed last month. Moreover, that action caused a national response.
